At Oak Academy, each year group has a different allocation of hours per subject. This is to reflect the need of that year group and whether the subjects are core or options.
Core subjects get more curriculum time because they develop the skills and knowledge needed to succeed across the curriculum.
In year 9, students have the opportunity to develop their interests whilst also gaining from depth in their core subjects.
