To celebrate Easter, Oak enrichment groups hosted two parties at the same time bringing together people from all ages across the community. Students from our Community service, Duke of Edinburgh, Catering, Origami and Showtime groups, supported by Cache and HSC students, hosted both Faithworks Wessex in attendance with the Mayor and Mayoress of Bournemouth and an Easter Eggtraganza for Reception and Year 1 at Elm Academy. Overall 300 people in attendance!!
Over 80 Oak students supported the events with afternoon tea, ballroom dancing lessons, crafts and entertainment being held in Hall B . At the same time, outside on the lawn, a large bouncy castle and slide provided great fun to the Elm students (and Mr Pretty) along with biscuit decorating, Easter Cards, dance lessons and soft play. The events ended with a giant Easter egg hunt followed by catch the Easter Bunnies and Chicks – a highlight with 120 Elm students chasing a 6ft chick Jay Budimar around the field.
A fabulous end to the Easter term, with exceptional behaviour and dedication to the event from Oak students.
